Description: Pangea is a doe that is surpassing our dreams for her (she is the first EX-92 animal with the Deidrägo herdname, and has had the most impressive show career out of all the animals we have owned). When we decided to AI our LaMancha x Oberhasli doe to a very notable Alpine, we hoped to get a doe with style, presence, and correctness. We couldn't be happier with Pangea, and feel very fortunate to have her in our herd. She is a once in a lifetime kind of goat, especially in personality (smart gate-opener here!). Pangea shows us traits from Freelance in her dairy strength- she has a tremendously long neck and a lot of angularity throughout. She is also upstanding in the front end assembly and naturally high headed. Pangea shows her dam's depth of heart and overall strength in general appearance. She is level across the topline with a long and wide, flat rump. She is strong on the feet and legs with correct pasterns and well angulated rear legs. Pangea's mammary system is becoming her most notable attribute. We love the shape and capacity to her foreudder, strength of medial suspensory ligament, and height to the rear udder. Her mammary system milks down beautifully and has lovely texture, while maintaining a lot of attachment that gives her a picture perfect rear udder shape. Pangea has been one of our most productive does, but had an off-year in 2018. She kidded very late in the year, although early in term, but we managed to get her into shape for an early National Show! We are crossing our fingers and toes for a normal 2019 freshening, and hopefully a healthy doeling to retain! We have retained quite a few progeny of Pangea, and are using her son, Raichu, extensively within our Experimental program. His daughter, Deidrägo RC Be More Kind, was even the 2018 ADGA Reserve Junior Champion (Experimental)!! We are very excited to spread Pangea's influence across our herd. Pangea is bred to Blissberry NDFB King Louie II for 2019 kids.
