We have used him on a variety of does (and breeds) within our herd, and all of his daughters have had lovely mammary systems. Brownie's influence is spreading widely throughout our herd because of his beautiful and consistent progeny. Brownie has sired 1 Junior National Champion and 1 Reserve Junior National Champion, in addition to his daughters earning many Top 5 placings at National Shows. Brownie is a slower maturing type of buck, but has really grown into himself at maturity. He excels in dairy strength, having a really long neck, very open ribs, and angularity throughout. He maintains adequate bone and substance, although he is refined. In general appearance, Brownie has a tightly blended front end assembly, strong feet and legs, and excellent length of rump. His smoothness of blending and style is one that he has consistently passed onto his offspring. We have been excited with all of the mammary systems on his milking daughters. Brownie's dam, GCH Fudge, was a doe who never got her fair chance. She was not shown as a kid or yearling, and as a young milking doe she got stressed after any long hauls. Fudge was injured as a four year old and we were forced to retire her. Many of Fudge's structural correctness in general appearance was passed to Brownie, including her lovely front end assembly. This breeding that created Brownie was looking to optimize a similar breeding that produced SGCH Frosting and SGCH Sundae. We have been impressed with Brownie's consistency of progeny and look forward to many more in our herd. We currently have 4 daughters in the herd, 2014 CH Moxxi, 2015 Rodinia, 2016 Rhea, and 2017 Riff-Raff. We are also using 3 sons in our herd, who we are very excited about.
